The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari Review :)

The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin S. Sharma is an inspirational/ self help book that has been around a while.

Is it worth a read?
Is it still current?
How can a fable help?
Can I apply the steps?

The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari has been around a long time, it is one of those books that kept coming accross my path but I had never took the time to read it.  The one day a friend gave it to me to read, so I decided to give it a go.

I was glad I did, some of the insights I had heard before, what I liked are the practical steps  that help grow your awareness, open the door to inner peace and help you achieve balance.

Sometimes I find I have the knowledge but I dont use it or that I knew it and have forgoten it.  The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari is a practical step by step guide to change the paradigm. ( I love the word paradigm ).  For my that is the key to success for everything, change the paradigm, view/beliefs on life, and you change the life.

The basic story is a Monk shares a fable with an friend, the fable is like a map to freedom, parts of the story are symbols which represent a virtue, the wisdom you reicive when you cultivate that virtue and the thechniques to achieve it.

At the end of some of the chapters, Robin gives you an action summary, Wisdom in a Nutshell, where he shares a symbol, the virtue, the wisdom and the techniques to achieve them.  I took a photo on my smart phone to remind me at all times to beaware of what I let into my mind and to master my mind.

No matter how many books you have read on spirituality, self help and personal development, I would 100% recommond The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari by Robin S. Sharma.

It is an easy read with pracical action steps to do today.

You will have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Thanks for reading my review and I hope you read the book.

Have a fab day...............................

How To Awaken Your Spirit

How to awaken your spirit, becoming a conscious creator and withness to the unfoldment of the Universe.  There is nothing wrong, only thinking makes it so.

It took me along time  to get my head around "Only Thinking Makes It So".

The following article from captures the the element of how to awaken your spirit.

The Top 10 Big Ideas
  1. Being

Simply being. We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.

And when we are capable of exiting the stories that we’ve created about reality, and permit ourselves to simply be, then we experience pure bliss. Then we are capable of experiencing reality as it is, versus experiencing it through the thick lenses of the conditioning of our pasts.
  2. 2

    Enlighten Up!

Lightness of being is intelligent. Feeling light in spirit activates all intelligence centers of the brain. Not only does lightness of being feel blissful, but it has us be masterful at all we do, and thus, has us manifest our desires with virtual effortless ease.

  3. 3

Great word, huh? One of my favorite mantras is, “Ain’t bad – Just Is.” Now the rest of that mantra could be, “Ain’t good either.” And that’s just how isness is. It’s the business of isness. Nothing good or bad happens until you think it so. Everything just IS until we interpret it. And our conditioning would have us interpret so much of reality in very disastrous ways. Stop it.

  4. 4

(I)Nner World Creates the Outer World

(I’m taking some literary liberty there, as one of my favorite things to do is to break rules!) Another of the great mantras: “The outer world is a reflection of the inner world.” In other words, what I’ve got going on in my life is the direct reflection of what I have going on in my mind.

  5. 5

As Einstein approached the end of his life, he was deeply troubled by his intuitive hit that there was a flaw in Relativity Theory. He was right. We’ll discuss exactly what his successors discovered. Also, we’ll examine those freakishly weird coincidences and how you are co-creating them all. Way cool.

  6. 6

One of my favorite definitions of Enlightenment is: the ability to choose peace amidst chaos. And the operative word there is “choose”. Peace isn’t “created”, it’s selected, or chosen. You can do nothing to create peace. It already exists. You don’t have to go to all that work! We’ll discuss how to choose it.

  7. 7

Your life unfolds according to the way that you think. Inherent within your desires are the mechanics for their own fulfillment. The “how” is in the “what.” What you think and what you feel and what manifests is always a match. Trust the power of your intentions.

  8. 8

Here we’ll explore our relationship to everything as well as to each other. When we can remember that we are inextricably connected to all that is, then we cannot suffer. All human suffering stems back to the illusion of the separate self. And here I’ll share with you an ancient practice that involves replacing acknowledging differences with recognizing sameness. Through the mirror of relationships I see myself.

  9. 9

Nothing lasts forever. It’s the nature of the universe. So our options are to either be cool with that or to struggle against it.

  10. 10

For 15 billion years this universe has been unfolding with flawless choreography. Flawlessness. No errors. Ever. If you can see that, and remember it, then you’ll be able to trust that everything is unfolding as it should and you can stop worrying. Completely.

What Are You Not Willing To Recieve?

It is interesting to notice home many barriers and walls we put up to protect our selves from being hurt, used, taken advantage of, or walls we put up when we think people are going to want or need something from us.

What do you think would happen if we took down all the barriers and allowed our selves to receive?
let all that energy flow through, not get stuck, or meet with blocks, just allow to flow through, what difference do you think that could make?

In this video Dain Heer shares the tools to help us become free of our barriers

Have a fantastic day....
